Add 1 line to your TCP/IP services file by following the instructions here .
The services file can be found at
system32\drivers\etc\services
and the line to be added is
sdplserv 5420/tcp # Share Provider Local Server
Remember the server name you added to this file - the default in the example is sdplserve.
You will now have to reboot the PC.
